Stewart Dawson

In 1958 I starred as Frosty the Snowman in my first grade Christmas pageant in Appleton, Wisconsin. I had a massive costume malfunction and quickly became the laughing stock. When I was ten or eleven, I wrote my first play, transformed our garage into a theatre, (with a working grand drape and “stage lights” and even a rear projection effect!) and to insure an audience, I produced, directed and starred in my own work. It was going fine until my mom came out and told everyone to go home because it was time for dinner.  Is it any wonder that I spent the next 45 years in show business and not taking it very seriously?  I could have been a writer.
